This is the meeting with Chantal Lécluze, a newcomer in the village of Soumans, who bought an old café which is at the start of this project of postcard sound.
Sumans is a village in the northeast of Creuse. The house of Chantal, former coffee, makes us think indirectly to « Georges at Sporting » a sound work by Yann Paranthoën dedicated to the poet Georges Perros, published by Ouie Dire.
Chantal died in August 2019...

Two artists, one painter and the other sound creator, listen to the places in a small village in Creuse. The pond, grocery store, coffee, cereal field, school, departmental road...
La Carte Postale offers a sound and visual walk in the village's daily life. To the gouache, gently, giving all its time to the look, Placid draws the spaces to which we usually no longer pay attention. Her paintings amaze the eye by observing the banal in a way that is not trivial. On the microphone, Jean-Léon Pallandre is on the lookout for the mysterious music that emerges from the simple events of life every day: on the edge of the pond in the early morning, as in the heart of the village festival at noon.
