Marc Namblard is audio-naturalist, i.e. his attention is turned to sound and what wild nature offers to listen to. These CD publications are each time a dive into the intimacy of the activity of sound and invite to moments of attention that arouse both calmness and astonishment.
Marc Namblard came to the second edition of the festival in 2014. We are happy to welcome him again for three appointments.
This first appointment will be devoted to a sound projection of the recordings of his choice, a form of natural cinema for the ear.
17:30 – Alexis Zimmer (France)
[ CHAPITEAU · DOMEYROT ]
Alexis Zimmer is an anthropologist, after initial training in philosophy and biology. His research is at the intersection of science and technology studies, environmental and health history. More generally, his interests focus on the reciprocal transformations of bodies and environments. He published in 2016 Toxic Fogs on an industrial accident in the Meuse Valley in 1930 and is now interested in microbiotes and their impoverishment in industrialized societies, the source of dysfunction and diseases... They are those researchers who open up unsuspecting horizons, able to make connections between facts that seem objective and their social and political resonance but also the most intimate.

I dreamed of a large stretch of water
[ CHAPITEAU – DOMEYROT ]
A film by Laurence-Petit Jouvet.

In her consultation with the Avicenne Public Assistance Hospital in Bobigny, Marie-Rose Moro, a psychiatrist for children and adolescents, receives migrant families from Africa, Asia, the Middle East and elsewhere. There, patients find what no therapy offers them elsewhere; They can express what is happening to them without cutting themselves off from their beliefs or customs. As in traditional societies where the disease is treated collectively, the work is done in groups.
This screening will be followed by a discussion with Laurence Petit-Jouvet and Nadia Lena.
16:30 – Nelly Mousset and Nemanja Delja
Deviations
[ CHAPITEAU – DOMEYROT ]

Nelly Mousset, improviser and visual artist Nemanja Delja work together on a project for two years. Festival The Noise of Music welcomes this year their first work-in-progress. During their residency of artists in Saint-Silvain-sous-Toulx, they performed a series of experiences and experiments on sound as a major element of the transformation of space. Nemanja Delja is a Serbian-speaking artist and Nelly Mousset is French-speaking. It is by exploring the commonalities between the two languages that they create a soundscape that they relate to specific spaces and moments. Although their work is the result of close collaboration, they are physically distant during their performance. They create an intimate and meditative atmosphere while leaving room for unexpected relationships between their sound, space and the public.

From New York to New York City via Nashville, New Orleans, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago... driving an old Chevrolet Caprice, Off the Road traces the US 2000 tour of the bassist Peter Kowald, one of the pillars of improvised music. [ CHAPITEAU – DOMEYROT ]
Variations VII of the John Cage is an electro-acoustic music piece for a multitude of sound sources. Participants do not deliberately generate sounds but use technological means to make those who are already present, audible or inaudible, as if they were using a net to capture them. This play was performed on 15 and 16 October 1966 in New York as part of the 9 Evenings: theatre and engineering, a series of performances from the collaboration of American avant-garde artists with engineers from Bell labs.
At the time, ten telephone lines allowed ten different points of New York City to be heard live. For this performance, all artists [*] originally planned will make their environment heard live from the location where they will be located respectively (Berlin, Copenhagen, Tallinn, Basel, etc.) either by telephone or via the Internet. These sounds, mixed with other on-site recordings, will be mixed live.
This performance will be the subject of a disc and video production.
