Residence – Aline Gorisse and Emmanuelle Loève

The composer Aline Gorisse and flautist Emmanuelle Loève come to take advantage of the studio of Epicentre to make sound shots and work on a future composition.
Composer of mixed, electroacoustic and instrumental pieces graduated from the RRC93 in electroacoustic composition and instrumental composition, Aline Gorisse has worked with various instrumental ensembles such as Multilateral, Soundinitiative, Tracks, 2e2m, Ars Nova, Court-Circuit or Hang on Note.
In September 2022 she began a two-year artistic and educational residency with the Ensemble Intercontemporain.
She is particularly interested in the musicalization of sound objects marked by our daily life as well as their broadcasting and recording context. This may, in particular, lead to a practice of field recording. Musical theatre and societal issues are also at the heart of its artistic explorations.
Aline Gorisse also graduated from a master's degree in research and creation at the Université Paris 8, during which she directed her research on the notion of listening and soundscape.
As an integral part of her practice, she is currently responsible for a computer improvisation workshop for students in Philippe Mion's acousmatic composition class at the Vitry-Sur-Seine Conservatory. She also assists Jean-Yves Bernhard at the CRR93 in her sound creation classes with the students of the Lycée Carnot in Pointe-à-Pitre (Guadeloupe).
She practices free improvisation with voice, computer, synthesizers, and sound objects.
Aline Gorisse also worked for a year as a sound engineer in a contemporary art radio station, which gave him a taste for sound recording, but also for podcast-type formats that also influence his artistic practice.
