CONCERT

[concert in tribute to Alvin Lucier]

When sound works

Recognized for his compositions based on devices generally used in scientific research, Alvin Lucier (1931-2021) strongly marked contemporary creation. Based on principles of acoustic physics and psychoacoustics, his research explores the natural properties of sound in relation to space, propagation and interference phenomena. Each of his plays is a sensory experience of sound for both the interpreter and the listener.
