Created on 16 January 2010 at the Kunst-Station Sankt Peter – Cologne (Germany)

A work of Steffen Krebber for 9 musicians and fixed sounds.

Recorded in concert by Thomas Lehn at the Kunst Station Sankt-Peter (Cologne, Germany) on January 16, 2010

The series « Nichtsattrappen » Steffen Krebber is music on music. The « already written » So, as Levi-Strauss talks about « cooked », can always be seen again as raw, discovered as new, untreated. For once, the Nichtsattrappen recapture the jodel with several voices of the pygmies of Gabon. Elsewhere, they refer to the music of an ethnic group in Papua New Guinea, whose self-directed way of playing generates a particular sound interiority. Giacinto SceIsi is the creative director of the microtonal frescoes of a sound; James Tenney gave impetus to minimalist ideas rather physical. In addition, we listen through the music of flying and crawling animals.
